Heading to Bali in a little over a month. It’ll be a much needed respite from the bitter cold of Japanese winter. This will also be the first time I’ve traveled elsewhere in Asia since coming to Japan last year. Can’t wait!

The swiney flu has finally made its way to my school…students are being sent home for the rest of the week. Don’t let the look of shock fool you though; I feel quite at ease behind my paper mask…besides I’m fairly positive I already picked up the flu while I was back in the states.
Had ostrich sashimi (raw, thinly cut slices) last night for the first time and I’ve gotta say…that sumbitch was tasty! Not sure sure how I feel about chicken sashimi though…
